In Review: Last Chance Name: Old Dogs Tracks: 8 Running time: 31:34 min
I've first heard Last Chance few years ago in their brilliant split with their countryman from Thumbscrew where each band was presented with 5 songs.
As I'm a huge fan of the well-played and melodic skinhead rock'n'roll I was looking forward for a full album from this promising band from Spain. So, what can I say... they haven't disappointed me at all!
This debut album is a big step forward for the band. The sound is more "matured" and professional, the lyrics have more variety of topics and even some personal matters like nostalgy and getting old are on the bill.
All the lyrics are in English, which in my eyes is a huge advantage for a band from Spain. Although I love the native language, it's a bit hard to understand the core meaning of the lyrics beside my knowledge of 100+words in Spanish. I would be happy more bands have songs in English.
For the "trained ear" of a music lover and audiophile the synchronic work of both lead and rhythm guitar is a guarantee for a professional work and enjoyment!
The album was recorded between Spain, Portugal and USA in the summer of last year. My credits goes to Sergio for providing me with the copy of the album. This man is one of the main "motors" behind the Spanish scene in the last years, he's involed in multiple bands and you can find the very interesting interview I did with him in 2023 HERE.
The CD comes in a two-panel digipack as a co-production between Askania and OldSchool Records. A nice designed booklet with all the lyrics is included as well. To sum it up- a top notch album which will be a great addition to your collection!
This cassette arrived in a care package I had eagerly
awaited, and it was definitely worth the wait as it's right up my alley!
The tape features the demo album of the American band
Violent Impulse. While there are no track titles, the artwork makes an
impression. The DIY vibe definitely adds to the gritty feel of their music.
The cassette has two sides, each containing the same three
songs.
Violent Impulse emerges from the depths of the American
underground, bringing fresh energy to the RAC and Oi scene. Their debut demo is
a raw, unrelenting punch to the gut - exactly the kind of intensity we've been
waiting for in newer releases.
The standout for me is the vocal delivery - gruff and
unapologetic. The fast rhythms and hard-hitting lyrics create a sound that
truly feels like an impulse, driving you toward violence.
If this is just the beginning, expect to hear a lot more
from them. Keep an eye out - these guys are here to make their mark!

We greet Sergio, the guitarist of Jolly Rogers,
Irreductibles, Thumbscrew, and Last Chance. I hope I haven't forgotten any of
the bands/projects you play for, comrade. Can you introduce yourself briefly to
our readers?
First of all, greetings to everyone reading these lines. As
you correctly mentioned, I am a guitarist for the bands you listed. I am a
composer/lyricist in Jolly Rogers and Irreductibles, although the other members
of the band are the ones who truly embellish and complete the songs. I merely
lay the foundation. I joined Thumbscrew for their latest album, "Pride of
Pain," but in this band, I only receive orders, hahaha. It's a pleasure
for me to play with them because I've been a fan since their beginnings.
We begin our interview with Jolly Rogers' latest album,
"Poesía Irreverente"... Can you tell us something about the album's
creation and recording process, any anecdotes?
Well, we recorded this album with a new lead guitarist,
although he joined shortly after our second split album (Ojos en un mundo
ciego) was released, so he has been with us for five years now. And the truth
is, there was a significant change, especially in terms of composition. In the
previous albums, it was more old-fashioned, in the rehearsal room with few
changes to what I composed. This time, it was much more elaborate, and each
member contributed their own touch, especially in the guitar composition. We
also gradually composed in a "home" studio before taking it to a
professional studio. Everything took longer, but I believe it was worth it.
Was it easy to turn the most iconic Spanish
"copla" into a rock anthem?
Well, the truth is that it was quite challenging. It's a
style that is very difficult to adapt to rock; it seems simple, but it's not,
especially when it comes to adapting the rhythm for the drums.
Your lyrics have always been impactful and inspiring. Who
writes the verses?
As I mentioned before, I write the songs, although for this
latest album, a good friend helped me and wrote most of the song
"Forajido." He is also helping me with some of the new songs we are
composing. He is an excellent lyricist.
Just out of curiosity, why were the first two albums of
Jolly Rogers released as splits with Irreductibles instead of full-length
albums? What do we need to know about the other band, and why do they sound so
similar to Jolly Rogers?
I don't believe they sound alike. Personally, I think they
have different styles, both in lyrics and musical composition. However, I
suppose you have some valid points because we're not the first people to be
told this, especially by those outside of Spain. The main reason for releasing
them as splits instead of individual albums is that the same person composes
for both bands. Releasing ten songs for each band would be a lot of work and would
create a significant difference between one album and the other.
What interesting details can you share about your live
concerts, both locally and in Europe? You have played twice for VFS in Italy in
2019 and 2022. What are your memories of these events, and how did the
concert-goers receive your performances?
Due to personal reasons, Jolly Rogers cannot attend all the
concerts we would like to. We have been invited to play in many countries, but
we have only been able to perform in Spain, France, and Italy for the reasons I
mentioned earlier. We played once in Germany, but it was an exception. We have
played many times with VFS, many times. We share a great friendship, and we all
have wonderful memories, especially from the two Ritorno a Camelot and Defend
Europe shows. They were spectacular, both in terms of organization and the
bands that played, as well as the audience turnout. These people are a great
example of how to do things right.
Regarding the audience response, we have always been very
happy. We have felt at home wherever we have played, both on and off the stage.
Irreductibles played once in my homeland, Bulgaria. Did you
have a good time in Sofia?
Well, it's one of the places I have the best memories of,
and that's saying something because we haven't had any complaints wherever
we've been. But this one was special, the concert was a lot of fun, and I loved
the city. Good food, good beer, and the bars and restaurants didn't close all
night. What more could you ask for? Hahahaha.
Jens Brandy from Enfstufe is a big fan of yours... Any ideas
for a joint project with the legends of the German skinhead scene?
Yes, we have a good friendship, and we have played together
with the different bands he's been in. There are some things in the works, not
with Jolly Rogers, but with another band, and there are also some ideas with
Jolly Rogers and another good and legendary German band. But we can't reveal
anything yet because it's still very early. Hopefully, everything will work
out.
Shifting the topic to Thumbscrew... I saw you in Edinburgh,
and you were amazing, surpassing the rest of the bands that night! Can you give
a brief introduction to the band's history, members, recordings, etc.?
As I mentioned, I joined the band for their last album. The
band was formed in 2008, but they didn't rehearse much. Eventually, they
released a few songs in 2012 with more of an Oi! influence. Then the band sort
of dissolved, only to come back later with a new guitarist/composer (Javi) who
introduced a much more punk rock sound. The singer and bassist have been in the
band since the beginning, while the lead guitarist joined around 2017, if I'm
not mistaken, which is when the band took that stylistic turn. There have been
several changes in drummers, and currently, Ivan is in the lineup. He also
joined around 2017 with some breaks in between.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the song "Bad Mother
Fucker" could easily be confused with a Dropkick Murphys song. Are you
influenced by this band?
No, there is no specific influence from a particular band,
but naturally, the person who composes the songs is heavily influenced by
American punk rock, and it shows in some of the tracks.
I listened to Thumbscrew's latest EP, "Rex Pelagius /
Perros de la Guerra." Two things I immediately noticed are the more metal
sound and the fact that you sing in Spanish, rather than the usual English. Can
you share more about this record? Will these songs be part of a future album,
and what can we expect from you?
There were two songs that deviated slightly from
Thumbscrew's style, they had a more metallic sound, and we wanted to create
songs with a Spanish historical theme, so we did it in our language. It was
more of an experiment than an evolution for the band. The next album will
follow the style of "Pride of Pain," aiming to improve upon it but
maintaining a similar approach and sung in English.
Thumbscrew has a split album with Last Chance (titled
"Patriotic Resistance"), the other band you play for. To be honest, I
can't stop listening to their 5 songs, which I think are incredible. Please
introduce the band. This is their only recording so far, what can we expect in
the future?
It's a project I had in mind for a long time, a musical
genre that I really enjoy playing and listening to. I wanted to have a band in
English as well because the language lends itself to that style. I had the
musicians, but I was missing a vocalist who was comfortable with the language.
In the end, a Portuguese friend living in Barcelona stepped up, we tried it
out, and it was perfect. His vocal range fit what we were looking for. We
released a split album as an introduction along with Thumbscrew, and now we
have enough songs for a full-length album. However, we have encountered some
unforeseen circumstances, and we'll be inactive for a while. But we promise to
come back with a new album and stronger than ever.
What do you think about the Spanish RAC scene? Are you
influenced by any of the bands? What are your favorite bands?
I have commented on this many times; I believe that the Spanish
RAC scene is experiencing a good moment. There are bands with a long
trajectory, followed by new ones that are emerging with strength and
determination. These bands have personality and each has its own lyrical and
musical style. Some of the newer bands include Los SDR, Eterno Combate, Last
Chance, Lobera, Bulldog Glory, Skinstorm, Kontrol Rutinario, Revuelta, among
others, while more established bands include Post Mortem, Pugilato, Iberian
Wolves, Nemini Parco, Brigada Totenkopf, Thumbscrew, Jolly Rogers,
Irreductibles, and even though they are a recent band, directed by a veteran,
El Vandalo. We have great bands, and while some may appeal more to some people
than others (which is a good sign), the important thing is that we have the
spark for years to come. I'm sure I have left out some bands, and if so, I
apologize, but it's impossible to remember them all.
As for whether I feel influenced by any band, I don't think
so, at least not directly. But if I had to name one, it would be Estirpe
Imperial, without diminishing the importance of any other band. All the
patriotic rock bands I grew up with have influenced me indirectly in some way,
but Estirpe Imperial and possibly 7 Muelles have a special place.
How do you see the future of patriotic rock in Spain and
Europe?
In Spain, we have new bands with young people coming in with
a lot of strength, something that I think is not happening in Europe. That's
the problem; there's a lack of youth, not only in music but in all areas. We
need a generational change.
Are you and your bandmates interested in football? Which
teams do you support?
Some of us may be interested in the world of football, or
maybe not. But if that's the case, it's on a personal level. As a band, we're
completely indifferent. We don't take a stance for or against it. It's a
personal decision for each individual. But as a band, we're indifferent.
What is your personal view on the ongoing war in Ukraine?
Well, there are strategic and economic interests that
benefit the usual suspects. It's an organized and prepared war where
politicians are puppets manipulated by the elites. The only victims are the
Ukrainian people who are fighting to protect their homes and families while
being attacked by some and sold out by others.
In your latest album, the song "La Resistencia"
talks about the political tension in the streets of Barcelona in recent years.
How do you see the future of Catalonia?
I've also mentioned this several times; it was a phenomenon
that is currently deflated. They will probably fuel it again when they want to
divert public attention to do something of their own. It's a beast that has
been fed by both the left and right in the central government, and it continues
to be fed today. It kept people entertained for a few years, but the circus is
over because it's no longer of interest. But the curtain will rise again, and
the clowns will return, that's for sure. Family divisions will reemerge, and
tension will return to the streets because society is foolish and follows
wherever the herd goes.
Any final words? A message for our readers and your fans?

The next CD review is for a band from a distant Australia. What can I say... Great old school sound, reminiscent of 90s revival Greyzone Oi! in the vein of Closea Shave and early Section 5. In other hand it reminds me a bit of T.M.F. (Hello, Jonesy) as well, because of the very 'British" sound. In fact, the singer Mick is actually English so this explains a few things.
My absolute favourite is track #4 "Barbed wire, razor blades" which I believe will catch you ear instantly. You can hear the track right here

In Review: Thumbscrew

Another Spanish band to be reviewed, as you know well I like a lot this scene. Thumbscrew
already exists for 11 years as this is their second full length album, and they
also have a split with Last Chance.
As for the music it is a powerful skin/street rock
with melodic solos and singalong tunes. All the songs are in English are in
English, so they can reach a vast majority of the listeners.
The second track of this CD “Bad Mother fucker” could be easily mistaken with a
Dropkick Murphys song, but our boys are a way much better than those posers.
There is also a brilliant cover Motorhead’s “I ain’t no nice guy” with a brand
new arrangement.
My personal favorite track is “Saturday night” which is so catchy that you
gonna play it over and over again and sing it loud…Saturday is not for dancing, Saturday is just for fighting.

Just a few days before their gig in Bulgaria, we are proud to publish an interview with the Finnish legends Mistreat. Interview is originaly conducted by 28 Bulgaria, published here with their kind permission.
1. Congratulations on your 30 year anniversary on stage! Can you please tell us more about the band; how the idea for it was born; who are the original members and what kind of changes in the lineup it went through the years?
Mistreat was formed 1988 by three friends (Muke, Jönne and Kaitsu). We were childhood friends and somewhere in mid 80ˋs, we started to have some interests for playing music and form a band, instead of doing nothing. We played under different names 1985-1988, started as a punk band, but very soon changed our style to oi-punk and year 1988 it was clear that our style had become to so-called RAC. I guess it was mostly because of the lyrics. People were calling us nazi punks all the time anyway, so it was obvious what happened with the band and itˋs style. Our band was called Synthetical Bastards at the time and we thought it was about the time to change that as well. It sounded too much punk for us… It was a birth of Mistreat.
Original Mistreat line up was:
Muke - vocals, guitar
Kaitsu - bass, vocals
Suikkanen - guitar
Jönne - drums
We havenˋt got much lineup changes during the years. Only second guitarist has been replaced couple times. When original second guitarist quitted 1991, he was replaced by Arska and he played with us 1991-1996, he was replaced by Miika, who played with us 1996-2007 (but had some breaks from playing 2002-2004, then he was replaced by Jose, our current guitarist as well). Our original drummer quitted 2004, he was replaced by Atte our current drummer. When our original bass guitarist quitted 1994, we started to play as a trio Me as a bassist, Jönne drums and Arska second guitar. Year1996 we met Pete (our current bassist), that´s when I jumped back to guitar.
Nowadays I’ m the only original member left, but the current line up of Mistreat had been the same pretty long time now.

2. Your new album “Heartless Bastards” is one of the top ones for 2018 and all that waiting for it definitely was worth it. Still, what is the reason you did not release an album for nearly 10 years?
Thanx for your kind words, I appreciate that. Why it took 13 years since the last one? There are a couple of reasons...Normally we released our albums by ourselves but decided after the last one "Never Forgive, Never Forget", it´s no use to make CDs anymore. One moneymaker buys one copy and then makes 1000 copies out of it. We don´t wanna be part of that kind of shit. Better not to make albums at all. Actually, last five years, lots of people all around the world wanted to hear some new Mistreat stuff and when this 30th anniversary of Mistreat was coming on, we decided to make it happen. This time we just didnˋt wanna put it out by ourselves, because of the reason I just mentioned. If someone will make thousands of bootlegs out of it, we donˋt need to care about that much.
3. Mistreat is one of the few bands that still stays true to its style since its beginning. Do you think you are traditionalists or you just believe that if one thing is good enough and everybody likes it, there is no need for a change?
Yes, it´s true we havenˋt changed that much during these 30 years, we still play the same kind of music style with the same kind of lyrics, but the scene has changed pretty much. Back in the 80ˋs, every skinhead band played the same kind of oi-music, now there´s all kind metal music, Viking metal, and NSBM involved in that scene..not even members in the bands are necessarily skinheads. I wouldn´t call us as a traditionalist that way… I guess we´re just stuck in 80´s and early 90´s and can´t even do anything else than music from that era. Our music and lyrics are simple as it was back then, guess we must believe that simplicity then?. So far, people have liked it all over the world, so no need for a change. Iˋm very grateful and happy for that.
4. Finland is a country with numerous skinhouses and your skinheads still keep wearing the traditional outfit from the 80s. Do you encounter problems with the police in relation to the music you make? Have you ever had problems with the authorities during gigs?
Finland is one of the few countries in Europe where it´s pretty easy to make this kind of music and organize gigs without the authorities causing problems. It´s pretty rare that cops would even mind to show up on our gigs. Sometimes they do, but just to check that everything´s ok. They´re not arresting people for having swastika t-shirts etc...Also, we haven't faced any problems here cause of our music, at least problems caused by authorities. Of course, local Antifa clowns are trying their best to snitch to our employers, that we are nazis etc..that normal shit they do, but so far no one cares about that either.
5. Finland is probably one of the countries where you can still see monuments with swastikas. We are also aware of the fact that you have the only Messerschmitt left (not counting Germany) from the WWII. At the same time, you are the only country in the EU where people can see a monument of Lenin. How do the society and your politicians look on history, and especially on the period of the WWII? Do you have a lot of antifascists and are they some kind of a threat to these monuments? Or the nationalist movements in the country at all?
Yes, we have lots of monuments here and this Lenin monument and Lenin Museum as well heh, heh...Our politicians respect our history (at least most of them) and those monuments are part of it. Finland got its independence after Revolution in Russia 1917 and Lenin was the first one as a Bolshevik leader who declared Finland's independence. Guess that's why his monument is still somewhere in Finland. Politicians in general here are still mostly patriots as much as normal average citizens. Everyone respects our history and what this small country has had to endure for centuries. So, when it comes to monuments about winter or continuation wars. Every single one here respects those monuments and those monuments are not scrawled, smashed or vandalized in any kind of way, not even by Antifa clowns... Only monuments those clowns are scrawling are the monuments about Finland's civil war and of course monuments of the white side. Antifa is small organisation here (maybe couple hundred) and they've made a fool out themselves so many times that everyone is laughing at them. Even average people are laughing at them. We have several nationalist movements here and every and each one of them is bigger than any left-wing movement.
6. Do the Finnish people appropriately commemorate one of the greatest heroes in your history - the sniper Simo Häyhä. Do kids study about him in schools? Does the media mentions something about him or they try to avoid the topic?
Oh yes, he was one of the great soldiers fighting against red invaders, but he wasn't the only one. In Finland, there are several men like him who fought in Winter War, Continuation War and in Lapland War, who did similar actions than Simo Häyhä. The majority in Finland respects these veterans and kids are certainly learning in schools about these veterans and about these wars we had to go through. Media is also writing about these wars all the time, but mostly when it´s some sort of commemoration day like 70-years when winter war started etc...i can imagine that year 2019 it´s gonna be 80-years when winter war started, so it´s certainly gonna appear in headlines in every newspapers, tv-news, radio shows and so on...I think last time I heard about Simo Häyhä in media, was early this year when they opened a museum in honor of his memory. Even if the media is pretty much owned by Jews and most of the journalists are left wing, in Finland, it's a kind of different to write about these things. Everyone respects our war heroes, even 99% of left wingers. A reason might be that we as a country did not attack anyone, we just defended our land, it´s territories and its people against this red evil empire.
7. Molotov cocktail was invented in Finland. Can you tell us more about it? What is the story behind it and the reason for its invention?
Oh yes. Some people might say that it was invented in Spanish civil war 1936, but it´s not the same thing. It was actually invented in Finland before the Winter War and it was named after Soviet foreign minister Vjatseslav Molotov. The reason why they named this for Molotov cocktail is that Molotov had been saying that Soviet bombers are not bombing Finland by bombs, only with food aid packages..heh... (by the way, In one of our songs we are singing - Njet molotov, njet molotov, you lied more than bobrikov...). so it was like a gift back to him from Finnish people. The reason it was invented is simple. We as a small nation at the time didn't have enough ammunition/anti-tank weapons against Soviet tanks (cause they were so many), so we were forced to come up with something. The recipe was simple. A little bit of petrol, rubbing alcohol and some tar for getting some smoke as well. It worked like hell. Winter war lasted only 105 days and the Soviet Union Lost almost 2000 tanks during that time. About 500 of those were caused by molotov cocktails.
8. Some of your lyrics are directed against Russia. What do you think of the Russian people and in particular, what is your opinion about the Russian nationalists nowadays? We saw a few of them who had come to support you at the gig in Helsinki. Is it possible that the hostility between two nations can be put behind our backs in the name of a united Europe; at times when we need to be stronger than ever?
To be honest, our lyrics against Russians are not lyrics against Russians at all. Those songs we are singing are old propaganda songs from winter/continuation war (like this njet molotov, for example) and those got nothing to do with normal Russian people. We don't have anything against Russians as a people and as a matter of fact, we have Russian friends as well, so if there were some hostilities between these two nations? from my opinion it´s over now. We hate only politics they had in 30´s and 40´s and the fact, that they started the winter war without any provocation by Finns and the fact, that they stole a little part of our country, which we would like to have back. My opinion about Russian nationalists? Have to remember that there's all kind of nationalists in Russia and they´re all fighting for different purposes, but at least those I know from St. Petersburg and Moscow are exactly like we are and also fighting for pretty much the same causes that we are. So I see us as friends and not like enemies anymore.
9. Helsinki is one of the whitest northern capitals. However, several years ago, when the boom of the immigration wave happened, many Finns came out on the streets to protest against the illegals who wanted to enter your country. And as far as we remember, there was also a blockage of the border. During that same time, a new organization emerged - “Sons of Odin”. Can you tell us more about them? Who they are? Are they really nationalists or just puppets of the government? Also, what the politicians and society think of the immigrants from Asia and Africa?
I only know about these "Sons of Odin" that they were/are just concerned citizens, who just got worried about what happened around them. Rape waves, murders, etc...they wanted to protect their women, children and their childhood neighbourhood from these middle east animals. Because the government didn't do a shit (even if it was obvious what was happening), they decided to do something. Some of the members are nationalists, some of them are skinheads and some of them just "normal fathers". In my society average people like more Asians than Africans, cause Asians are normally working 100% and they stick with their own race. You can't say the same thing with Africans and even politicians know that but canˋt admit it. Maybe because they are making pretty good money out of this "immigrant crisis". Those thousands of Somalians who came to Finland already in late 80ˋs, only 4% of them are working. Tells me a lot about their mentality...What makes anyone think that these new coming animals are any better? They´ve had already proved them otherwise by raping and stealing...So, Everyone knows these people are cockroaches, parasites, rats... Politicians won't tell that loud out cause they are making money out of it. Money that comes from normal hard working peoples asses, who needs to pay for their party. So, people are angry and Organizations like "Sons of Odin" will be more, sure about that. Even if our government is working pretty hard to ban all kind of organizations, that smells even a little bit of nationalism.
10. You have a song dedicated to the American Hammerskins and the gig in Helsinki was co-organized by both organizations. As far as we know, the Finnish skinheads are in good relationships with some moto clubs as well. Are you members of any organization or political party?
Yes, in Finland we are and have always been in good relationships with some mc clubs. We visit their parties and they visit our parties as well. Don´t know why it´s like that? but it started already in 80ˋs... Guess we both are some kind of violent groups who like to drink and have fun and we respect each other that way. B&H and Hammers/Crew 38 in Finland are actually sharing the same clubhouse and they are cooperating all the time. We are good friends with both organizations, but personally, we´re not members of any of these organizations or political parties. We support them both with different activities and do the same thing with some political movements, but that's about it.
11. Most of your songs are in English and even during the gig in Helsinki you sang in English. Is there a reason for that?
When we started in 80´s, we only sang in Finnish, but the scene in Finland was pretty small at the time. Have to remember that Finland was a small country and it still is a small country. Only 5.5 million people are living here and if here´s nowadays ca.1000 skinheads here, back in the eighties we were under 100 skinheads in the whole country. We decided to make some "test songs" in English, so maybe other skinheads around the world could understand what we are singing. We understood that pretty soon that maybe it´s better to continue with English, but also won't forget to make some songs in Finnish once in a while. Mostly those Finnish songs are about winter/continuation war or just drinking and fighting songs.
12. Mistreat is a band that more than once has performed on stages across the ocean. Will you tell us more about the places you have been? Is the atmosphere different compared to the European one?
Yes we have played in most of the European countries and in northern America several times (New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Minnesota, Atlanta, etc...) and now we just came back from Brazil, so list for the countries we've played is kind of big. Easier to say countries we havenˋt been playing. Those countries in Europe we havenˋt been playing but would like to visit are at least Portugal, Ukraine and Serbia. But yes, the American audience is not that different compared to the European audience and in my eyes, they are just Europeans living in America. Of course, people in west coast are a little bit more relaxed than in east coast, up in north people are exactly like we are and in the south, they are like we plus southern mentality/hospitality and that is something unique. Gigs are exactly like anywhere else in Europe, but they might have some other activities during the day also like strong man contests, etc... Which I think is just fun.

For those of you who don´t know
know Pluton Svea, its one of Sweden's biggest WP-bands all times.After
their debut album "Genom Kamp Till Seger" (The struggle continues
till victory) in 1994 lead singer left the band and was replaced by the drummer Jocke
Karlsson.Up to 2000 the band released six more albums including the five
songs mini cd entitled "Pitbull power”, which became the one of the most
popular albums in the history of Swedish WP scene. In 2001 Pluton Svea
split up after Jocke Karlsson left the band. Later has also
released Pitbullfarm,Here we go again (solo) and is also been chorus
for artists and bands like Saga & Frostfödd.
Aside from those 5 new songs, the
disc contains 17 of the best songs from Pluton Svea, which are earlier
released, most of them remastered. A must for every nationalist!
The project Nessuna Resa (No Surrender) starts in Lucca (Italy) in the year 2008 by the hands of Adam (voice and guitars) and Cicogna (bass), with the purpose to give a voice to the local Skinhead movement. Togheter with Francesco (drums) in 2009 they record a demo called "Terra di Nessuno" ("No man's land") and start playing gigs around Italy supporting other Oi! and RAC legends of the italian scene.
In December 2009 during a gig in Bologna left-wing militants made a manifestation against the band because of their fascist and nationalistic ideals and topics.
Unfortunately the band had to give it a hold-on in the first months of 2010 because the bass player Cicogna had to serve one year jail for a personal assault against a left-wing militant that was a police informer. While Cicogna was serving time, Adam and Stefano (a comrade friend to all components of the band) got arrested and sentenced 7 years first degree for a aggravated assault to a pub that was a usual Sharp hangout. Because of this Nessuna Resa are actually on hold but with new material and new projects to be made once the time is served! No surrender, no remorse!

Long awaited album after few years of silence from the Belgium Oi! combo. We great the usual great music and lyrics plus a bit more…in some of the songs are used some guitar solos from earlier recorded demo with Dieter Samoy (RIP). So because of this fact I have the feeling that I listen to a perfect mix of “Kill baby Kill” genius music supported by the strong vocals of Les Vilains singer Suck. What can we say about the lyrics … all of them are in French, all of them come from the heart, especially the song dedicated to fallen band members “Dieter and Oliver”. I can also highly recommend my favourite “L’homme le plus riche du Monde” (The Richest man in The World” written for the daughters of Suck and of course “De Kastelein” - a song to remember the “good old days” in the mythical skinhead pub in Bruges.
All the rest songs are second to none, so dear readers don’t hesitate to get a copy for your collection from Pure Impact or other distro, this is a 100 % obligatory item! For all those who will download it instead, I can only say: You are nothing but a bunch a wankers, queers and kikes!!!
To sum it up – I love this album. This is the epitome for the music of the SKINHEAD FAMILY!!!
This is the debut work from this Budapest based band. Tar Had keeps to the roots of good old Magyar Skinrock with a bit of harder influenced tones. Thankfully (for me) the band didn’t follow the massive new wave of “one year lasting” Hate core bands which appeared like mushrooms after the rain in last few years. The demo contains seven songs, one of which (Odin es Thor) also took part in “BHS crew” compilation cd. Quality of the sound is pretty good for just a demo recording, same like the skills of the musicians and singer, so we can expect much more in the future. The cd-r comes in simple cardboard box, with no booklet, in limited edition of 300 hand numbered copies which makes it attractive for the collectors of DIY stuff.
The good news coming from the band is about a brand new album coming (probably) by the end of this year. Info in advance is that there will be cover of non famous Skrewdriver song from their punk period.

The story of the Hellenic NS/WP skinhead music scene, which during the years is getting more mature and become gradually to a strong and conscious political music scene, started more or less in that way: Ιn 1987 the «Last Patriots» band would be one of the first Hellenic Nationalistic bands. They recorded the famous march «North Epirus» into Oi! version, but they broke up in 1988 and one member of them joined «Cause of Honour». Τhen, «Rock & Roll Rebels» with some songs in demo version become the first Hellenic nationalistic band that would play live for the first time in Greece into a celebration of the nationalistic youth of EPEN party! «Apolitistoi» was also another greek band who released some very rare demo songs for us today ! Other bands that never released something and existed only as a titles were: «Skinhead Warrior» (Κοzani city), «Aryan Resistance», «Stormbringer», «Southrise» (Αthens), «Zigi Zaga», «Warriors Pride», «United Boots» (Thessaloniki). Mainly after the year 2000 and then, national-socialistic/nationalistic rock became more known to the young people and consolidated with much variety in it’s music style with the help of bands like: Iron Youth(Τhey have 3 full length cd’s and some participations into compilations) , Total Cleansing (They made some gigs, one of them into a central place in Athens in year 2000) , Stosstrupp(They have released the demo cd “Wir Kommen”), Hellrise, Mahen(An one man band that have released the cd «Heroes»), No Surrender( They created οn August of 2002 into Αthens and were until today the main voice of the Hellenic section of Blood&Honour. They have released: «Never demo» (2003), «Hail The Year Zero» (mini cd, 2004), «Loud Proud & White-Live» (cd 2004), 5 songs for the compilatio «Ukrainian-Hellenic Friendship» (split cd, 2005), 5 songs for the compilation Blood&Honour Hellas Vol.1, (split cd, 2005), «United In Anger» (cd, 2006), non-released in popular demo (June of 2006), «Guns For Glory» (mini cd, 2008) and they have participation to the compilations: «Hellas Attack» (Hellas), NADSAT #2 (Portugal), «Sons Of Glory»(Germany), «Hellas Skins» (Hellas) and they have made a lot of gigs, War Criminals (They created on January of 2005 and stopped very soon cause of the imprisonment of their vocalist (Free Panagiotis!), about in November of the same year! Although, during this small period, they made 2 gigs-in the first on support to the Portuguese ODIO in the gig in memory of fallen comrade Marinos(R.I.P) and released in June of 2005 the demo demo «Skinheads Racists»), Molotov Pact(they have played into many live appearances, while some songs of them got part into compilations outside of Greece) Sergeant Oi!( Started as a studio band of 2 members in September of 2006. It’s members are persons that joined the scene from the early 80’s and one of them had played also to the first nationalistic music groups like «Rock & Roll Rebels» and «Cause Of Honour».
They released the demo «This is the society»), Pride & Pain (They are the first Hellenic Oi! /R.A.C group with female in vocals, while they are at the present time a studio band. They released the first demo with the title «Action Is Philosophy Of Life» on January of 2008 and have 2 song into the compilation «Hellas Skins», while they are working on their new full-length cd «Pain inside, Pride outside») , Filopatria (Created in Athens in year 2009 and released very quickly their demo named «Generation of Reaction». They have made 3 gigs till now, one in Skinhouse Hellas in support to Stavroforia band and the Hellenic Stompers band too, another one again in support to the Bully Boys into Skinhouse Hellas and the third one into Yorkshire of England in support to March or Die, White Law and Section 88 to the great annual fest «White X Mas», while they working on their new full length cd named «Order through Chaoss», Skaste(NS punk band working on it’s first demo cd) from Athens and Piraeus. Boiling Blood(They have release: Righteous Legions-demo cd, Stomping the mud -cd, Praise the fallen-cd, while they have many live appearances in Greece and 2 times outside of Greece in gigs of Veneto Fronte Skinheads organization, playing support with bands like: Ultima Ratio, Gesta Bellica, Noie Werte,Armco, Adl22, Ultima Frontiera, Sumbu Brothers,Injustice Side και Dario Bressan), Hellgrinder ( A studio punk band of 2 members from the city of Thessaloniki. They released their demo «Speak in greek language or die» in 1998), Defamation ( Created in February of 2004 and existed as a Street Rock / Oi! band and were being the first Hellenic group within a skingirl in it’s membership. Μarinos(R.I.P) he was in theguitar, but left us very quickly and after that Defamation was finished it’s music activity. They had the ability to release only 5 songs for the music compilation of «Blood & Honour Hellas Vol.1», while most of the people would remember them from the unforgettable gig in honour of Great Alexander’s memory, together with No Surrender and Th.Re.At, that took part on June of 2004 in Thessaloniki. Great memories that we never forget....immortal!), Pogrom (They have made many live while they have released 2 cd’s: «To neighbourhoods and streets» and «Pride»),White Pride Rockers(They have also made many live and recently played support to the Italians Hate for Breakfast up to 12-12-2009 in Thessaloniki, while they released the cd «Counterattack») , Legion Hellas(progress of the band Legion), Dead Andrews, Red Lock(They have the mini cd «Against all odds»), ChaoSS Hellas (They started on August of 2004. It’s members become from 3 different cities of Greece, like Αthens, Thessaloniki and Τrikala. On Μarch of 2006 released and get in free copies to the people their demo named as «88% Punk»and have played to several gigs) from Thessaloniki. Koi!mpresser (Started in Trikala in 2002. They have released: «Cock&Roll demo» (2003), «Nobody could change us demo» (2003), «Greek’s Production» demo (2004), «Till The Darkest Hour» (cd 2007) and they have played many times live), TH.RE.AT, (Or The Real Attack from city of Trikala, started in 2002. They have released: «Oi! Resistance demo»(2004), 5 songs for the compilation «Blood&Honour Hellas Vol.1» (split cd, 2005), and some non-released demo, «Trikala Skinheads» (cd, 2007) and participate in the compilation «Sons Of Glory» (Germany). They continue playing in many live till nowadays) Last Attack(They have the cd «Warfare way of Life», while they had played support with the Belgians Les Vilains), Straightline( new and hopefully brand band, played recently with Short Cropped and Kommando Skin in several times in Skinhouse Hellas), Stavroforia (Created on March of 2006 and it’s members become from the area of Μαcedonia and Thessalia. They have already many new songs, while 2 of them took part into compilation «Hellas Skins»),from Thessalia. Hellenic Stompers band from Lamia city have released yet their cd called «Hangman» and recently had one more one, while they have played many times live) and the Αmetanoitoi! From the city of Kalamata who have the demo «1000 reasons»). In this whole period made too some gigs into many different places around all the greek dominion.
Well, today the gigs are made much more organized and frequently, especially into Skinhouse Hellas, a great place for gigs made absolutely from skinheads for skinheads in the main way, that is based in Trikala city. The first gig with the participation of a foreigner group, was made under the leadership and organization of the Hellenic section of Blood&Honour Hellas up to 8/8/2003 with No Surrender, Boiling Blood as being the hosts and the Dutch Brigade M band as guests. Back again to the past, Cause of Honour have released also some songs into international level, while 2 of them took part into the compilation of Nordisc Records (Nederlands), «We Will Never Die» Vol.2 in 1998, They made a lot of gigs with the most famous to be one in 1993 in a club in Athens. With initiative of Blood&Honour Hellas released a great compilation with many non-released songs of them under the title «Demos Rarities».While the last few years another one compilation came to be added in the list under the name «Hellas Skins». Special gigs all these years be made by the leadership of the Hellenic section of Blood&Honour, while the most memorable are these: on 25/3/2004 in honour of the Heroes of the epic of 1821 in a place in Athens, while on 25/8/2004 in Lamia played live the Hellenic bands Th.re.at , No Surrender and Defamation support to the Italians HOBBIT! Very important were also the Hellenic compilations for solidarity to our comrades they needed to, like one named as «Rock for Fatherland» with the participation of many Hellenic bands , also the compilation «Οi! For the white race» for the same cause too!
The gigs continue being more and more organized with the help of many comrades and especially by the comrades of the Skinhouse Crew, who is absolutely the top-level organizer of the nationalistic gigs here in Greece! The history of Hellenic nationalistic music scene continue till this moment with the up-coming compilation «Ελευθερία - Freedom - Liberte - Freiheit – Libertad», that is an effort that started from the initiative of foreign comrades in order to support in that way the Hellenic comrades and patriots that being victims of the ideological oppression from the state. It is about a compilation that express in music and lyrics the big rage of a big council of people for the pressure that tolerate all the people who belong to patriotic and nationalistic ideas and organizations in Greece and of course worldwide. Especially these last days, the suppression from the government is getting like a boomerang against the state and the para-state and the thousands of our people join the struggle in order to survive and for the honour of our nation , this effort in musical expression is needed in the most important way than ever had.
In order to be better promoted this up-coming music compilation, there are already announced the bands that will participate in the compilation which in to be noticed will gonna be released in the middle of Springtime ,under the label of S-Crew Records. From the 18! Songs that will be into the album, the 10 of them are new or un-released yet. Τhese groups going to be:

The policy of the blog is AGAINST uploading music, especially new albums, or cd’s you can buy from any band or label. Copying is killing our scene. But this case is about very old and rare stuff you can’t find elsewhere. The songs are with their original lyrics without any censorship.
Spanish scene is strong, of course, but is divided. I read in past newspapers reports which talked about police informations.. they talked about three thousands skinheads only in Catalonia area, I think that's exagerated and in this area can be around one thousand of skins and if you'd have to say you one number. I can calculate about three or four thousand of skinheads in Spain. You can see in Catalonia area skinhead movement is very numerous and count with an active musical scene with famous bands as Tercios, Retaguardia, Arma Blanca or Prisonero nº7 but also other no famous abroad as Invictos, Odio Urbano, Agresión Armada, Disciplina Nacional, Impertinencia (second cd 'Solo Dios nos juzgará' is out), Resistencia, Incipium, Legion Condor and others younger. In Catalonia you can find comrades who support all organizations active in Spain, B&H, HS, C18, SAS, Racial Volunteer Force, and others.. and also international comrades who lives in this area from Chile, Brazil, Germany or Austria. You can see also there many hooligans and casuals, and also no politics skinbands like Sospechosos Habituales (hooligans), Skin Spirit, Acero Condal and others... and finally this area has also a good number of Sharp and skinreds but the city of Spain with more of this scum is Madrid. I can finish to talk about Catalonia saying the most important political band in this area was Estandarte 88 which played dozens of concerts in all our country.
Valencia area has a strong tradicional scene, the most important organizations ever always born there, we can remember Acción Radical (earlier 90's), Armagedon (later 90's) or SAS, all were raided and dissolved by police. Actually there are a numeroous scene of skinheads and also many people votes to nationalists or NS parties in this area like España 2000 which has members in some city town council, AN, DN and other little parties. Talking about skins actually are active in Valencia only a few bands like Brigada 1238 who have recorded a cd last months and whose guitarrist Toni Ortiz died last October '07, he does played in Division 250 and other young bands like Ius Sangui; bands like Shaved Dogs and Glory Boys are in unpolitical side, which also are in hooligan groups. Souther is the Murcia area where actually is playing a youngest band named Bandera Negra and are active some comrades.
Zaragoza scene is very numerous and important also. The skins in this city usually organized concerts -involved on B&H- because is in middle way from Madrid and Barcelona and in a few hours by car you are there from both cities. Nowadays is playing there the BH band Unidad Ezquerra. There are other young bands like Territorio Salduba and Sin Perdón. In Andalucia, the southest spanish area, you can see comrades in many villages and cities but the skinhead scene is only strong in three or four big cities like Jaén, Malaga, Huelva and Sevilla. Batallón de Castigo was the only active band in this area, concretely in Malaga, whose members are active also in political scene united to AN party and finally split up the band. Madrid has an very important and numerous scene, with many skins involved in hooligan groups. Musically talking there are only a few bands active like Estirpe Imperial which recorded their last album 'Sin Miedo', Rebeldes -which dissappeared-, Desorden and other youngest like Sspandau, Asedio, Vendetta or Osadía. And in unpolitical side you can find bands as Depresión or Dramatic Battle, last one has recorded recently a minicd 'La vida en un pacifico nuevo mundo...', simply explosive!! In North of Spain you only can find a few bands, concretely Más que Palabras, Rienzi and youngest Offenders in Valladolid city and Brigada Totenkopf in Asturias area. There are places in North of Spain where skins are strong and active like Salamanca, Valladolid, Leon and Asturias but in the rest of north extreme left wingers and antifas groups are very active, above all in Galicia, Pais Vasco and Navarra areas. Of course, police is very active in last 3 or 4 years have a strong control against NS skins and hooligans groups and is usual to find police when meet groups of skins or in concerts where film on video and take the identification cards of all. And you can see as all important organizations have been raided in last years... Really, we are under their control. There are many NS and skins associations actually in Spain, many of them are in a only city or area so I only say you the most important... I think better organization nowadays in Spain is B&H spanish division, beacuse they always are active and doing constructive things, cooperating with political parties, organizating concerts, and others. They are in the most of spanish areas - Spain is divided in 17 big areas-. In other hand I can talk about others like Hammerskins which are strongest in Madrid; B&H C18 are more numerous in Barcelona area but they are in other cities, and they are in good touch with B&H Spain, there are not problems between them; FAS, SAS, SHT, BN are others little organizations. The most famous and active organization in Spain was Accion Radical in Valencia area, where were members the D250 members but they were raided by police at the beginning of 90's.
Politically, there are also many parties in Spain... that's the spanish scene. Many people and very divided. The most active party actually is A.N. (Alianza Nacional), they are recently in scene and in last two years they have got to meet many skins under their banner, have opened many headquarters, and are doing good things, I'm in good touch with many of them. The most numerous perhaps can be D.N. (Democracia Nacional) which is a veteran party, whose leader was member of D250, they are supported by many kind of people from skins to Ns no skins, nationalists, etc... MSR (Movimiento Social Republicano) is very strong in Catalonia area but they have suffered a few raids by police and they are very active still and had a book printing office named Ediciones Nueva Republica and a label named Tricolor, this label have produced cd's of NS singer Axis Mundi or skinband cd's like Impertinencia or coming soon the debut CD of Invictos (coming soon!). Old Falange party is curiously very active in last 3 or 4 years and many young people support it and have organized demonstrations where nobody have never done. España 2000 is other active party which is strong in Valencia area and after there are others like PNT (Partido Nacional de los Trabajadores) which is strong in Murcia or ENE (Estado Nacional Europeo) which are in Barcelona city.
