Chaos in the Sun 2026 Report

It's all started on May 28th, 2026 when early in the early morning I've got my flight to the marvelous city of Barcelona. Then together with some Norwegian guys I've met at the airport we headed by a taxi to the lovely town when the Festival was about to take place.

Right after I checked in my hotel, I went to see some comrades who arrived earlier on. Walking thro

ugh the streets of the town I could see tons of skins from all around the world hanging around preparing for the next days of never-ending parties.

Immediately I've bumped into a group of all friends from England, Scotland, Czech Republic, Croatia and Austria who were drinking sangria on the huge balcony of the main hotel the international Skinhead battalion was accommodated.

The next few hours ran out so fast, and it was time for the pre-party concert which started about 8 P.M. local time. The capacity of the underground nightclub chosen for the venue could hardly the hundreds of skinheads inside. 

The bands for the night were Vindicte Populare from France, Total Annihilation, and some guests from USA. 

To be honest the sound in this club was quite bad, so all of the bands could not show their actual potential. The Frenchies got a saxophone as an additional instrument which is typical for the bands from this country. Nevertheless, they sounded a bit weak, may be because of the poor sound or lack of previous experience.

All the American bands had (in my view) a mediocre performance due to the aforementioned reasons, but they were about to unleash their full potential in the next two days of the main event. 

So the party ended around 1 A.M. and I headed to my hotel in order to catch some sleep before the next long day of Skinhead RAC'n'Roll.

The next day the preparation for the first day of the Festival started about midday when we needed to collect our tickets and wristbands for the upcoming gigs. Right afterwards we headed to the place of the Festival - an open-air space located few kilometers away from the town center. For the purpose the organized have booked a few 50+ seated luxury buses.

Both the transportation and the bands schedule was running smoothly and on time. The same was valid for the quality of the sound of the Festival and the whole organization of the event was on a top level.

Day 1:

The first band of the Friday's program was Polish Oi! band Lumpex 75 from the city of Gdansk. I know they just by a name, as the band is non-political, but managed to hear few of their songs on YouTube and I was pleasantly surprised. They started right on time at 5 P.M. and played for an hour. The band's history dates back to 1993 and these guys really know how to play well their catchy streetpunk/Oi! catchy melodies. All of their songs were in Polish, so me as a Bulgarian could understand a bit of the lyrics. They didn't played my favorite song of theirs named "Gdanski Club Sportowy", but instead they finished their set with a cover of "Alkohol dla mas" by another Polish band The Gits. So fellows, if you haven't heard Lumpex 75 yet, give them a chance, they totally deserve it.

The second band for the night were The London Die Hards - a three piece band from England, but as they announced none of them lives in London anymore "surprise, surprise :(". Their sound was quite solid and well-packed with strong backing vocals on most of the songs. 

Next on the bill were Evil Inside from Orange County, California and what a performance in was! The members are well-known musicians involved in the scene for many years. Their performance blew everything up, both musically and vocally as the band showed their full potential. My favorite songs if their set were "End of the line" and  "Nationalist"! The band played for more than an hour and in my humble opinion was the best for the night!

Right after them the Belgium 's finest Les Vilains hit the stage with a power of an earthquake! The band stopped its activity a few years back and it was a pleasant surprise to see them again, in their what appeared to be last ever concert. They started with songs such as "Skinhead family", "Grosse Salope" and "Belgique Hooligans", but the highlight of their performance was the epic cover of "Give back the Oi!" by Kill Baby Kill! The audience literally exploded chanting " Give it back, give back the Oi! to the white Working class"! Prior this song the singer Suck displayed a big photo of the sadly lost Dieter (singer of KBK) and Oliver, who was former Les Vilains member. After the end of their set together with my Czech "colleague" Bohomil we managed to get one piece of hand written setlist from the band - a precious souvenir from that glorious night

The last band of the Friday's program were the English veterans of The Ovaltenees, a.historical band established in 1983. The band was added as a headliner on a later basis as the original planned German Skinhead legends could not make it this year due to personal difficulties. Joined by Brad of London Breed on guitar the Brits played 10-songs set which included their old school hits such as "Joe Public" and "Argentina". Their singer Mickey sang with a such a power and enthusiasm that you can rarely see from the old guard. The gig ended after midnight, so we all headed back to the busses and went to have some sleep after the long day of fun and music.

Day 2:

The next day after two hours at the beach I went to the Festival area, where the show was renewed at 5 P.M. sharp with Skinprost from Belfort, France. This band played at Ritorno A Camelot in 1991 with Skrewdriver and nowadays it's only the guitarist who left from the original line up. Their drummer and singer play in Riot Krew as well. Skinprost played a great set in the vein of Evil Skins and many French skins and skingirls enjoyed their set.

Hated and Proud from Detroit were second in the schedule. They played with Roy and Alonso from SunCity Skins on guitars, Ben from Legitime Violence on bass and Nate from Birthrite/Wellington Arms on the bass. Their music can be described as an American patriotic Oi!/RAC and the band performed most of the hits from their killer album "Let Freedom Reign" together with a brilliant cover of "Disorderly conduct" by the legends of Arresting Officers.

The third band for the night were the well-known TMF from England. With no special introduction needed, the band did a long 17-songs set from which I can highlight "Jack Daniels" and "Violence runs supreme". The singer Jonesy traveled by a car from England all the way to Spain only to find out right before their set that someone smashed his windshield and he was not happy about it.

Next on the list were the Quebec finest Legitime Violence. I saw them live once in Italy 11 years ago and I knew Raf and the guys are like a dynamite on stage. They definitely were the best band for the night as they did a brilliant set with hits Iike "Rock haine Oi!" and "Quebec stomper". They finished their performance with a song dedicated to late Jocke Karlsson, a true RAC icon and a great friend to many of us! R.I.P. Jocke!

The last band for the weekend were Americans of the Youth Defense League. To be totally honest with you this was more of a tribute band, as none of the original members was part of it. The band was re-established by a former roadie, which was in touch with a former member who was about to participate in it, but he never did. Having this in mind I knew that we cannot expect a lot from them, but nevertheless they played some of the YDL's classics such as "Skinhead 88" and "Turncoat", together with the cover of "Violence in our minds" by The Last Resort.

By the end of the show I've managed to talk to one of the gig organizers who assured me that the next year's edition will have some top bands I've haven't seen in ages. I'm really looking forward to it and will do my very best to visit Chaos in the sun 2027!

It was time to say goodbye to all my old and new friends I had the chance to meet in sunny Spain. The audience was a nice mixture of people like me who only attend WP gigs and a lot of Oi! Oi! Skins which I could not meet otherwise. Spoke to few of them, all seem to be nice lads with a love of good music. Told them about the huge state pressure we're facing while organizing our gigs and they were genuinely surprised by what cost us to hear our bands. The whole Festival went without any issues or incidents, no brawls, no fights, just a pure love and appreciation for the RAC and Oi!

To sum it up: 3 shows, 14 excellent bands, gig attendees from all across continental Europe, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, Canada and USA. A bunch of people from several South American countries were represented as well such as Mexico and Chile. The Skinhead  scene showed once again that it's pretty much alive and kickin' no matter most of us are nearly (or even above) our 50's now. The spirit it still here, the flame is still burning! Listen to RAC'n'Oi! and you'll never grow old!!!

Still Standing Gig in Flanders

While our guys were having fun in Rome, our comrades from Flanders (Belgium) were preparing to make a come back with a gig on 12th of January, 2019. The place is Bruges - the medieval gem of Flanders. Some often refer to it as the Venice of the North and they are right. The city has this unique medieval charm and attracts tourists from all over the world. None ever regretted their travelling decision!

Flanders followed the tradition of organizing nationalist gigs and this year they surprised us with an interesting line-up. Among the faces, we already knew from the parties in Bulgaria during the previous years, this time the guests were able to see Kriegsberichter (GER) and Green Arrows (IT). But before we go on the details about the venue and the bands’ performance, let us take a moment to mention a few things about the organizers and the movement in Flanders.

The event was hosted by a couple of friends in a private venue in Bruges. According to what we know from different sources, this was the fiftieth gig they were organizing; without counting the acoustic ones and other small side events like the one for 11th of July, for example. 

In contrary to how things are here in Bulgaria, the government and NGOs are giving their best to suppress the nationalist youth and ban all their activities. However, the guys took an enormous risk and threw an amazing party for everyone attending.

I think you will appreciate learning what one of the organizers had to share with us days before the gig takes place:

“So it all started on a regular Saturday between beers. We were talking about the past and trying to figure out when it was that Belgium had turned silent. From having the infamous skinhead bar “De Kastelein” to all different gigs from different organisations, it has been rather quiet the last years due to smaller and more intimate events, but still, people bring up that nothing ever happens. And this is how the seed was planted, and we said why couldn’t we do it?

We are all from different backgrounds, some have ties with Blood and Honour, others have their own bands or simply enjoy the music. That is why we decided to not make this gig under any banner but instead begin something new. The people here have the power, strength, willingness and motivation to create something more - something new. But for this to happen we need to gather, regroup and get into contact with each other.

The idea of this concert is to yet again try to unite the people under one banner. People are so caught up in their own battles that they are losing sight of what is important. Folk, Faith and Family. But the red thread through all of that is just Unity.

So the plan was there, the intention was there, but we also needed a name. Still Standing is taken from “I’m Still Standing” by Kill, Baby Kill. Not only is the band from Bruges, but this song represents us all. We are still standing, we are still here, they can try to beat us, ban us but we will strike back, and most of all, we will show that we are here to stay!

After a lot of discussion over the date, we decided to have the gig in January. The reason for this is that September, October and November were already packed concert wise, so we decided to do it in January.

And finally, here we are...a few days to go and then it’s D day! We have months of organising behind us, and probably a lot more grey hairs, but we are almost there. The goal is already achieved, knowing that all of you guys will show up and support us!

Let’s raise some hell in Belgium!”

So, the day has come and it was time for us to head to Bruges. We had a couple of drinks together in one of the pubs in the city, then went sightseeing and by the time we were ready, it was already time to go to the venue.

We drove to a private club. The place was spacious enough, with a bar, stage, and a green area outside for the smokers. People were coming in and by the time the first band was on the stage, the venue was full packed with people having fun and laughs. Guys from 28 Hexagone, 28 Vlaanderen, Bruges and the Netherlands were making sure to keep everyone safe and things under control. There were people from all different places; besides the locals, we saw people from France, Sweden, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and other countries.

The gig began around 7:30 PM. First on the stage were Snöfrid. They sang some of their own songs, as well as covers of Ultima Thule and other bands. Second were the Germans from Kriegsberichter. The guys played hate punk tunes and were super energetic and managed to translate some of that energy to the audience. A lot of people from the crowd seem to know the band pretty well and sang along their songs in both German and English.

Third on the stage were Green Arrows. The Italians, who are one of the most talked-about NS hardcore bands making music right now, performed amazingly, delivering one of the night’s heaviest sets. They were well prepared and made the crowd moving. According to what we saw, everyone was enjoying the opportunity to dive into their work.

Shortly after Green Arrows, on the stage, we saw Vit Legion. The guys were entertaining the crowd with their own songs as well as covers of famous English tunes. They had a couple of songs dedicated to the ladies too. Overall, great performance from the guys.

Last, but not least, we saw Whitelaw Unplugged. Benny opened up the show with a short speech noting that it was 21 years ago when the band first of many times they played in Bruges and that it was a pleasure for them to return back and play for us again. Benny, as usual, was creative and had an engaging game for the audience. He needed volunteers to use whistles and recreate the tune for the song he was singing. Many went on the stage and sang along with him. Even though the plan was to let Whitelaw play acoustic, two drummers within the audience took it upon themselves to spice up their performance.

It was quite the evening we spend in the venue in Bruges on Saturday night. The lineup was great and the organizers definitely delivered to our expectations. They provided a great night of fun, great people and friends, and limited-edition merch. We could not ask for more having in mind how hard the local authorities and the media tried to sabotage the whole thing. There were even articles and reports on the national news about us, days before and during the gig took place. However, we had a blast! Hands down for the great job! We look forward to seeing you again!

Gig in Serbia

20th October, Gig in Serbia

This gig was organized by our Club 28 Serbia. As usually we started to make plan about gig in spring time. Our choice this time was to invite Brainwash from Germany, and Code 291 from Sweden. They accepted and we made deal easy. We arranged also two Serbian bands to play - Iz Revolta and Kristalna Noc. Later we spoke with guys from Czech band Dont Control to play and deal was made. Since the beginning we had good response about this event.

When week of gig finaly came foreign comrades started to come since wednesday,so it was good fun as expected. Friday party was finished and at Saturday morning we had some hot news. One newspaper and tv station were talking about evil nazis gig in Belgrade. Actually, on 20.October was date when Belgrade was liberated from 'occupation forces' in WW2. We didnt even know that we choose perfect day for our gig. Anyway, we didnt care about it too much.

First band to open the gig was Kristalna Noc. They play a lot of their old songs, but also few new ones which will be published on their new up comming album.

Audience was ready for Swedish pride Code 291. Their melodic RAC sound and english lyrics were great accepted by internacional audience. At the end of their set riot police stormed into our hall and gig was stoped. Cops checked ID documents of some guys and left hall, so we could continue with show.

Next band on stage was Iz Revolta. This was promotion of their just released debut cd. Domestic audience really enjoy this band. They also did few cowers from Skrewdriver. It was time for Brainwash. They are real professionals, sound was excelent. Crew in audience had a good fun. They also sing in english so everybody enjoy their music. And they did some Skrewdriver covers in their own style too. Top guys and one of the best bands on scene in my oppinion.

Gig was closed by Czech guys - Dont Control. They did just few songs because of time limit. All in all, this was succesfull event and nice weekend.

There were around 200 people on gig. Once again, thanks to all people which came from Germany, Sweden, Wales, France, Greece, Russia, Bulgaria, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia. Thanks to all of you for support.

The 25th Ian Stuart Memorial

The 25th Ian Stuart Memorial took place in Northern England on the 21st and 22nd of September. Despite the repressive attempts and sabotage of the UK government, more than 300 people managed to reach the place where the gig was hosted and honored the memory of our founder.

The first evening, as usual, on the stage we saw ballad performers, all known faces, including band members from Brutal Attack, Blackout and Whitelaw. Besides from playing their own songs, they also covered some of Ian Stuart’s ballads. And, of course, the new songs of Blackout “Blood and Honour” did not remain unnoticed!

On Saturday, more and more people kept coming while at the same time, we were receiving information that some of our brothers and sisters where held on the border and checked by police as they were some sort of criminals. As a result, many were not even allowed in the country!

One of the most disturbing things that weekend was the case with our comrades from the Netherlands. They were restrained for over 26 hours on the border between France and the United Kingdom. After release, they were sent back home just because they were going to a gig hosted by Blood and Honour, an organization banned in Germany, Spain, and Russia. What do our Dutch comrades have in common with those aforementioned countries no one even bothered to explain.

However, let us get back to the gig. Around 5 PM Stevie went on the stage and announced the start. He played a few well-familiar ballads and right after his performance, we were able to see a tribute band playing the songs of legendary English bands. Then we saw another tribute band (comprised of band members from Embers of an Empire and March or Die) which this time sang songs of No Remorse. Afterwards, Blackout from Wels entered the stage and for a millionth time, they prove to be one of the best bands from the Kingdom.

Once Blackout sang their last song, on the stage we saw the veterans Squadron. A year after their official return, one of the first skinhead bands demonstrated class and performed amazingly. In fact, very soon, we are expecting to hear their first album in years!

The next band was Whitelaw; we had them over in November last year. And once again, Benny did not cheat on his style to speak between every song, trying to motivate the crowd. The culmination was when the guys asked for a minute of silence and soon after it, we heard speeches playing in honor of Ian Stuart.

Finally, it was time to see one of the most iconic bands in our scene - Brutal Attack. This time they surprised us with new songs from their latest album “21 Rockers”. Before the song “Tales of Glory”, Ken turned to Benny from Whitelaw who was close by and said that he is dedicating this song to him due to his words before the minute of silence.

The last band for the night was Legittima Offesa. Our Italian brothers need no introduction from us. They kept the crowd entertained with their traditional Italian RAC sound. Unfortunately, Dirlewanger from Sweden could not play that night as their vocalist was unwell and was advised not to perform. However, the two-day-long festival went by in a friendly atmosphere. As a tradition, this year again we camped on the spot near the venue.

After nearly 3 days spent with our friends from all around Europe, the time came to say goodbye, but of course, not for long because we will meet each other again on another event organized by our comrades from Blood and Honour. No matter how hard the government and authorities try to sabotage or even ban us, they will never succeed because we have something they do not - unwavering spirit and faith in the final victory. 828!

11th of July - Celebrating the fighting spirit of Flanders

The world has seen many wars, Flanders fields are drenched in blood, plenty of battles have been fought here, countless victories! But no matter how you turn it, plenty of Flemish people bled here to secure there existence, preserve their culture, save there country from occupation and have an independent land witch they can call their own. The whole reason to remember this day goes’s back to a time when 'horses and steel' ruled the earth. Mounted knights, the strongest forces at the time thought to be invincible on the battlefield.
    

     On the 11th of July 1302 in a battle against the French, Flemish farmers, foot soldiers, barely armed had to stand against this fearful power. But the Flemish fighting spirit prevailed and the French were defeated. This battle is known as; Battle of the Golden Spurs. This was because they found over 500 golden spurs when the battle ended. Many stories have been written about this day, how this is the start of Flemish awareness, the start of Flemish nationalism we know today.

Flanders today, like every other white country is under attack, forced immigration, forced cultural and ethnic assimilation; the genocide of our race by replacing us in numbers. Forced down by our own politicians, traitors to our race, puppets on a string, they try to change our ways and views on this remarkable day. We all have experienced situations when they tried to change our symbols, cultural heritage, your traditions, most likely because of 'racism'. They try to take away our identity, so there is no more 'us or them', no more 'black or white', only grey, slaves only to serve as good gentiles. Our Flemish Lion is the symbol of the Flemish community, the golden (yellow) background with a black lion is the proud symbol of our people. Only this is apparently to threatening for all these 'newcomers', and so they wish to change our Lion, to make it multicultural acceptable.

         This year, for the first time, they had a 'Flemigrant' celebration (notice the combination between Flemish and immigrant), a multicultural event to celebrate a day for everyone who 'feels' Flemish. I don’t think I need to explain this any further. At the same time, a politician (from the so called nationalist party - in fact just neo-liberals) said that this day should not be a 'white' celebration. Now for some this day is about bashing the south of Belgium, the French speaking Wallonians, for some it’s an excuse to pretend all high and mighty in the media. For us however, it’s about standing our ground, being proud. I am happy to say, sadly for that politician, as we did have a 100% white, 100% proud celebration.

        A gathering of (100% white) comrades, to celebrate our Flemish fighting spirit, to remember the battles of our ancestors, to honour those who gave there lives so we could be here today! We had a small and very personal event, gathering only those that truly fight for the same values as ours. We do prefer small events like these, as it brings forth more opportunities to get to know one another. We hosted a barbecue witch is almost becoming a tradition on this day and we invited Stevie from England to play ballads. It was a lovely day, the weather was simply beautiful. The crew fixed up some shelter from the sun, hooked up the PA so we could enjoy everything in a nice surrounding.

      At 16.00 our guests arrived, among them are some of the finest people I've ever had the chance to meet. We've invited a few people from Holland, a couple from England, a German friend, and of course a lot of Flemish brothers & sisters (If they are reading this; Thank you again for making this day a success)! Your support matters, your attendance is a virtue for us, a strong brotherhood is what we strife for and is what we carried home that day. Thank you, brothers!).

At 19.00 everyone finished the barbecue, and Stevie prepared himself to play some of the greatest ballads we all know. Stevie made my skin crawl when he played 'Ode to a dying people' by RaHoWa! He played tons of covers from Skrewdriver, like 'Skrew you', 'Boots and braces', 'Built up knocked down', 'Voice of Britain' (witch he altered to 'Voice of Flanders'), 'Hail Victory', 'Diamonds in the dust' (witch he played referring to the organization), 'Free my land' (my all time favorite!) and many more! He's talents to play acoustic are amazing, and we thank him for all the kind words and gestures that were said and done during he's performance. Flanders is proud and thankful!

         Afterwards we moved inside to keep the volume to an acceptable level for the surroundings, it was a real social gathering as many people talked trough the early hours in the morning. At 4 a.m. we called it an end, happy and tired we went home to get some hard earned and much needed sleep.

I'd like to thank the “Bulgarian Savage” for all his support, and much needed help in connections to set this up, thank my crew for all the hard word and dedication, thank Stevie for the wonderful performance, thank Rob for all the confidence in us, thanks everyone for showing your support (even if you couldn’t make it!) we are very grateful and you will surely hear or see us again! Comuniratia 2015

On Saturday, 13^th June, near Cerveteri/Italy was held the last edition of "COMUNITARIA" (La Festa delle Comunità). Organized from different political realities present in Roma area and neighborhood the event was held in the best way was possibile. A lot of participans from different networks, enjoy the fair, with comradeship, laughters and exchanging CDs books, t shirts and all the products the create or just sell in their communities. A lot of stands were organized selling also food and goods from our land. 

During the fair there was also an exposure about imagines of Italian soldiers during the first world war and also a theatrical exhibition with the guys of "FORO 753". The "menù" for dinner was composed of "pasta amatriciana" and pork and after this the gig has begun.

 Finally the most cheerful part of the event, music with: Tributo a junker TESTUDO, Imperium and Topi Neri. As always beer, songs and chants have closed the fair. So, really a very beautiful day to spend with your comrades and to know new ones, we wait for you next year!

"Day of Glory" in France

We departed on Friday, as its a long drive to Lyon from Flanders. Its about 876 km's to go and 890 km's back, all this by car and a time frame as we need to be back home on Sunday evening. The weather was truly special this weekend, it was very hot during the day (35°+) and we've seen Thor hammering the skies like he was in a frenzy in the evening. Looked like he was just as exited as us to see the MMA! The scenery along the way was amazing, those beautiful fields, authentic towns, it always fills me with hope for the future. When we finally made it to the scene it was the perfect location! A big sports hall for the MMA fights, professional ring in the center, lots a chairs, a great overview. You couldn't miss a thing! Next to the hall was a smaller but just as perfect location for the gig to go down. There were a couple of stands to buy cd's, t-shirts and other usual stuff.

The MMA part of the event:

The organisation(s) who worked together on putting up this event got on to the stage to have a small speech. They reminded us that whole idea is not about nations against nations. It’s not about being better then one another. It’s not about winning or losing, It’s about strength, brotherhood, discipline!!! The event was set up by 28 Hexagone and Pride France, in cooperation with White Rex and Pro Patria which “delivered” most of the combatants who participated in the event.

I've seen some amazing fights go by, the atmosphere truly changes when you see the fighters enter the ring, those couple of seconds before the bell go's off and everything breaks lose.

I've seen knock-outs, I've seen some major damage, I've seen amazing dodging! To say the least, I've seen the future. Every victory was hard to earn, but in my opinion I've only seen winners enter and leave that ring. After every fight, no matter how brutal it was, the combatants came together, not with a single handshake, but with an honest, respectful hug, which show Brotherhood at its very best!!!

Unfortunately for us, as we sign on in the list our fighter at the very end, there was no competitors left, so no Flemish fighters were presented in the ring.

This did give us the opportunity to fully enjoy the entire spectacle, make contacts with old and new comrades.

When the fights ended, we prepared for the the second part of the event, which started with a brief speech delivered by the organizers. They thanked everyone for coming down to Lyon, supporting the fighters, supporting the scene, ... but at last, but not the least, they reminded us not to drink to much! Discipline!

This is only my second time I see Gesta Bellica, but as soon as they sound check started and they played 'Free my land' by Skrewdriver i was already exited. (I'm afraid i don't know any of there songs, as they sing in Italian, so I'm limited to say that there playlist existed of a few other covers from Skrewdriver 'Hail the new dawn' and 'The voice of Britain'). They got everyone all wired up from the start until the end!

 Then it was time for the big act by Legitime Violence, they have the advantage of singing in French, since most of the people there are French it blew the roof. Everyone, and I mean everyone (French speaking or not) was singing along! (Though, again, sorry to say I don't know there songs. But they played covers like 'Smash the Reds' & 'Skinhead Superstar'). 

I'm very bad at guessing so couldn't say how many people were there. But i suppose it would be something between 250 - 350. Lot's of girls too!

 Personally, I would like to thank my brothers from 28 Hexagone and everyone involved in organizing this event. Thanks everyone for traveling down and giving us all a weekend to remember. Hope to see you next year, in the ring! Order and Discipline!

S.P.Q.R. Skins Memorial, Rome 2015

This is how the story went, I saw the gig flyer by accident and the band line up blew me away. A fine collection of European bands was in the schedule, plus top of the tops from across the ocean – the lads from Bound for Glory and the new promising band from Canada Legitime Violence.

I got in touch with my good, old comrade from Rome to discuss some details about my trip and staying there. I’ve never visited the Eternal City before, so this was a nice opportunity to do some historical tourism in the cradle of European civilization. Time ran fast, and at the afternoon of 21^st May I was flaying from Sofia to the capital of Italy full of enthusiasm for the upcoming weekend. I was picked from the Fiumichino airport and drove directly to a nice restaurant near by the Casa  D’Italia Colleverde – the home of mighty S.P.Q.R. Skins. A gala dinner for the comrades who arrived same day, was about to take place there, so about 40 skinheads were already around the tables waiting for their meals. Right after I entered the restaurant I jumped on Big Ed (and the rest of the guys of BFG) and Stigger, who were having some nice time together and I was very glad to join them. Stigger appeared to be a very polite and down to earth person, we have a good talk about the glory old days of Skrewdriver, so if all goes well I’ll interview him for my upcoming book. The dinner itself was kind of culinary fiesta, we ate like ten different meals, starting with salads, salamis and spaghetti, thru pasta, beef steaks and chicken skewer, to some fine local sweets, all this poured with lots of white wine, grappa and beer. After all this food I could barely take a breath, so we went down to the Skinhouse for a quick beer and went to bed to take a rest. The Skinhouse (Casa  D’Italia Colleverde) is a four floors ex school building, located 5 km away from Rome. Inside the building, there is a pub, which can host ballad gigs, a concert hall in the basement for 450 persons and some rooms and aprtments for the guests and the permanent residents. In the house lives few of Rome skins and some Italian families that need a house. Also the guys have their own Rugby team, where they train a lot of the local kids and they are really loved and well respected in the neighborhood.

After just a few hours sleep and a breakfast with my Flemish roommate (hello Kim), we went to sightsee the Coliseum with a bunch of Swedish, French and Canadian guys. Despite the rain our noisy skinhead crew had a great time and fun together and turned into a major attraction for the tourist groups at the downtown (thank you Swedish Kim, you should start your own stand up comedian show). No need to say that Rome is a beautiful city, full of historical monuments, so we didn’t have enough time to see them all. At the afternoon we went back to the Skinhouse, where at around 8.30 p.m. a “small” (like 120 people) ballad gig was staged. Lots of guys have arrived meanwhile, like my mates from Slovenia, Russia, Greece, Hungary, Germany, England and even Australia (hello K. you old fella).

The ballad night was opened by some acoustic set of Legitime Violence who did a few songs, followed by the bagpipe of Griffin who did some songs as well, among which was my favorite “Sons of our race”. Stigger pleased the crowd with some nice old tunes of the Skrewdriver’s patriotic ballads who made the crowd to sing along with him. BFG did an acoustic set, which if I’m not wrong is their first of a kind ever. By the time the pub was overcrowded already so I went outside in the yard to spend some time with my comrades from all across Europe, so I didn’t catch up a lot of what they played. I surely catched up few tunes by Stivie, who came together with the rest of B&H England crew. At the end of the evening some local musicians played some ballads in Italian, including the hymn “Avanti Ragazzi di Buda” for the delight of the Magyar comrades (Ria, Ria, Hungaria)!

Right after the end of the music program, a representative of Swedish B&H divison did a small speech and ceremony, thanking the other divisions that helped them set up. The night went very well, with some minor incidents with people who can’t handle the effect of alcohol. So, around 2 a.m. I went upstairs to our room to catch some sleep for the next day… but simply it didn’t work out…. when a gang of dozen noisy Portuguese comrades invaded the room (number of beds was enough for everyone) and kept me awaken until the sunrise :)

At Saturday morning I was heavily tired, when we headed with two busses to a venue which was located around 70 km away from Rome. In was place in the middle of nowhere in my opinion, but location was very cleverly chosen for the needs of the event. There was a large parking zone with a garden, in front of roofed gig hall which can easily offer space for 1 200 plus attenders. We were there few hours before the gig, so we had time to rest a little bit and to have some food and beers. Lots of people from around Europe and Italy began to arrive at the place, so around 7.30 p.m. it was the kick off of the concert.

Nessuna Resa opened the show. Up to this moment this band was almost unknown for me, but I have to admit they sound is really professional, very tuneful and sing along melodies in the good tradition of Italian Oi! They played for about an hour, warmly supported by the Italian skinheads. I strongly recommend catching them on you tube and the support the band buying their official cd’s. My Bulgarian Homeland was represented apart from me, by six righ wing hooligans who came to see the Rome football derby, but didn’t missed the opportunity to visit the gig as well. We did a very good job to open the pogo dancing for the night – in a true Balkan gentleman’s manner J 

Skrew You was second on the bill for the night. As you may be already known this band is side project of Stigger, Griffin and Mushy (last Skrewdriver drummer) and their only goal is to play live the songs of last Skrewdriver album “Hail Victory”. So they did, they played all the tracks from this album, plus two extra songs on encore. Unfortunately Mushy couldn’t make it to the gig, so he was replaced by the singer of Gesta Bellica. 

Bound for Glory which were the headliners of this gig and they did their very best to satisfy their fans who had traveled even from places like Brazil and Australia to see the playing. The band played nearly 2 hours (!!!) set, mixing old tunes and songs from their last two albums such as: Vindication, Hey Joe, Stuka Pilot, Valkierie, No More Jagermeister, The Iron Eagle Flies Again and many more.

After a short break Faustrecht was the next band on stage. The crowd was already a little bit tired of the previous breath taking performance, but after a song or two the slam re started in full force again. Unfortunately due to the late time they didn’t played their full set which was a bit disappointing for a die hard fan of the band like me. Nevertheless more great bands where about to come on stage to rock us, for the next hours.

I must declare that the gig was a Memorial for 4 Italian comrades who have lost their lives in the last few years. Around midnight a minute silence in the memory of Gianluchino, Mirko, Simone and Emanuele was held in full respect and discipline by the attenders.

  

Next on the schedule were Canadians of Legitime Violance. They did a great aggressive set of mostly their own songs sand in their native (for Quebec) French.

  

Gesta Bellica took the stage at the early hours of Sunday, when surprisingly for me the hall was still almost full of people who had enough energy to slam. They had a strong support from Veneto Front Skinheads.

  

Ultimium was the last band for the night, but to be honest I didn’t catched a lot of their music, because I was 4 a.m. already and we were all busy to catch our bus back to the Skinhouse, which we reached at 6 a.m. After a quick nap, it was time to go home after almost three days of non stop party time and no sleeping.

To sum it up… it was a TOP weekend in Italy!  Both ballad night and the gig was second to none!  Great atmosphere and hospitality! Very solid and strict organization from A to Z! Security lads (B&H Hexagone, England and Portugal (yeah… the noisy geezers) did a good job, there were no troubles during the gig.

The gig has been visited by around 700 people from all across the White world including Brazil, Australia. Chile, Canada, USA and almost every European nation.

Nordic Summer Fest in Finland

Nordic Summer fest 9-10 August  2013

Nordic Summer fest was held in the second time in Finland, at Orivesi which is 40 km north of Tampere. This year the gig place was closer to the city and the the weather was good, also many improvements was being made, there were cabins which could be rented to the comrades, also good toilets and washing facilities as including a sauna, little over 200 comrades arrived at the gig place from, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and of course Finland.

Friday's first band was Pagan Skull, RAC from Jyväskylä band was founded in 2006, latest cd – “In the hands of the Fatherland” published in 2012. The second band at Friday was Marder from Helsinki, they have played since May 2012, but they have been very active in gig front. Last band at Friday night was the Street sweepers from Kouvola, they played some covers from the famous Finnish RAC band Mistreat and also they new material at they cd whits is almost ready and out.

Saturday began with small problems, beginning of playing would have been Civic Duty, but one band member's car had broken down, so there was some changes to the band playing order. So, first at Saturday was Irminsul from Spain, they have played since 2006 and they second full length album is soon out, at the gig they played very energetic gig which they received a lot of positive feedback.

Second was Endless Pride from Sweden, band was born in September 2002, and plays metal with glimpses of old school rock'n'roll and oi. They had their sixth CD-“Decade of pride” released by Midgard records in 2012. Endless Pride played a good gig and the crowd liked what they saw.

Third band was Goatmoon from Lappeenranta. This Finnish black metal band was established in spring of 2002, the lyrics are mostly about white supremacy and hate. This band was expected a lot and there was a lots of fans in the crowd, and they were not disappointed.

 Fourth band was Civic Duty from Helsinki, the band was founded in 2007. They are also very active at the the gig front, they have a very aggressive sound and Joonas have a good voice, they played a good set in the darkening evening.

The fifth and  the event's headliner was Blitzkrieg from Sachsen/Germany, founded in 1999. Their latest cd is called Das letzte Bollwerk(The last bastion) released in 2011. Blitzkrieg is very famous and popular band all across Europe, this was second time they were playing in Finland, and time after time the band succeed to exceed expectations of crowd. Even before Blitzkrieg finished their set the crowd wanted to see Irminsul back on stage,   so the band played few more songs on encore and the Spanish boys did their best to pleased the crowd which went mad. It was a great final of this second edition of Nordic Summer Fest. See you next year in Finland!!!
